I love striking colors, so when I saw Bowl! & Brew, I knew I just had to stop and dine in. There was no customer when my friend and I walked in, and we had the place to ourselves until we left. That gave me an opportunity to observe and see every single detail of the restaurant. There were a lot of lights and the area is way more spacious compared to most restaurants in Maginhawa.
The lady who served us was so friendly. She answered all our questions. That’s why we discovered that the owner of the place is a Director in ABS-CBN. He also owned his own photography and graphic design business named MeloMagic. That explains why the place is so appealing and beautiful. The walls were, as you can see, were also filled with either wonderful pictures or creative graphic arts. AND THE TABLES AND CHAIRS!!! I fell in love just a wee bit.
Another thing I can’t get off my mind even when the food was already served is the ceiling filled with all those, well, bowls. They were screwed to the ceiling, so no need to worry.
Our server also volunteered to take pictures of us. She even turned on the spotlight, saying that she needed extra light to make the picture better. What a pro! They were trained for this! Haha. The owner sure knows how to make their guests feel welcome and at home.
Since they specialize in offering Lucban delicacies, we ordered Pansit Lucban and Longganisa Lucban. The prices were very affordable, which is always a plus.
I never liked longganisa Lucban, but I always try it every time I can just because. However, their pansit is something else. I loved it! Our server said we should add vinegar to improve the taste, and she was right.
We wanted to order their yema cake or blueberry cheesecake, but they were out of stock. We also got curious what their Sorbetes with Kiping Flakes and Suman tastes like, but we had no more room for desserts. Maybe next time.
