I am Kevin Tuazon, and Winning Every Day is a blog I decided to create to finally kickstart my career as a professional writer.
Ever since I was a teenager, I was already interested in writing. I love how words come together in my mind, so I write them down and get fascinated when they mix together and create a sound that resonates within me.
I took up Mass Communication (Major in Journalism) to pursue a career as a writer.
I’ve been employed four times now as a writer and once as an editor, but they were all online jobs. The companies I’ve worked for owned what I produce, and that made me question my purpose.
Am I actually doing anything to be a writer, be known as a writer, and inspire with my words?
The clear answer was no. I was stagnating. I was floating. I had no direction.
So here I am, turning that no into a yes.
I quit my day job last March to explore more of life and focus on writing my first book. The four-month hiatus gave me a firmer grasp of who I am and what this world has in store for me. Honestly, I never felt so alive. I started knowing myself in a deeper level and started seeing more things that make life worthwhile.
Jeff said every aspiring writing should have a tribe of readers, friends with the same passion, and mentors to guide them. I don’t have any of that — at least not yet.
The first step I took to get my name and my writing out there was applying as a Contributing Writer for Elite Daily. I got in and reached more than 60,000 page visits for my second article. This was the most audience any of my writing has ever reached, and I couldn’t be more grateful for that platform.
People started sending me messages of support, encouragement, and gratitude. That’s when I knew I was doing something right. My words could actually make a difference, so why should I stop? This blog will be my platform to connect to the world and make a difference, in my own little way.
Winning Every Day
The name of this blog (my third one) represents my desire to share every winning moment of my life and how I win them, my struggles and how I get through them, and simple things that make me feel like a winner.
For me, winning is more than just victory over something. Winning is letting every moment of your life amount to something. It doesn’t matter if you’re up or down. As long as you take it all in, then you’re a winner in my book.
I hope you join me in this journey of winning every day by following this blog and leaving comments to share your thoughts as well.
Cheers to life’s greatest moments! Let’s keep each other winning!
